Making your online actions greener and more efficient

We recently opened our new Host Europe Group state-of-the art UK data centre, build to meet technical requirements for generations to come.

Highly technical, highly specified and highly envied, the new data centre has been several years in the planning and was official unveiled at the end of last month by Lord John Birt, non-executive Chairman of the Host Europe Group.

A multi-million pound investment it is part of Host Europe’s continuing commitment to investment in infrastructure that will help serve our customers better as well as meeting and exceeding new levels of environmental specifications. The new DC5 environment has been built with many present potential problems and future obstacles in mind with better redundancy, resilience and an initial power usage effectiveness (PUE) rating of 1.27, with that set to improve as further updates are completed.

We are very excited and proud of our new facility both technically and economically, which will enable us to continue offering our standard first class service. There’s more to come too, take a look at how our data centre was built:
