How do I reset the password for Domain Ownership Protection?

This article will show you how to reset the password for your Domain Ownership Protection service.

If you’ve forgotten your password for Domain Ownership Protection, you will need to download a ‘Password Reset’ PDF form via your Control Panel and then send the completed form to documents@123-reg.co.uk.

To find and download this PDF form, simply follow the instructions outlined below.

Please note: this article only applies to our previous generation of Domain Ownership Protection (plans purchased before August 2023).

Step 1 of 7

Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.

Step 2 of 7

Next, select Manage All opposite Domains within the ‘All Products and Services’ section.

Step 3 of 7

You will now see a complete list of your purchased domain names. Select the domain you want to update from the provided list.

If you can’t find your domain in this list, you may be able to find it on the Domain Name Overview page within our legacy Control Panel. For more details on this, please read the following article: How do I access and manage my products?

Step 4 of 7

This will take you to the overview page for your chosen domain. From here, select Domain Ownership Protection within the Domain basics section.

Step 5 of 7

You’ll now be taken to the management page for your Domain Ownership packages. Select Options for the domain you wish to amend and click Reset Password from the drop-down menu that appears.

Step 6 of 7

A pop-up message will now appear on-screen. From here, you can download our Reset Password form by clicking Download The Password Reset PDF Form.

Step 7 of 7

Once you have completed the form, please send it to our Documents team at documents@123-reg.co.uk.

If you’re not sure how to find the personal details requested on this form, simply follow the steps here.

Please note: the reset email will be sent to the registrant address of the domain name. Therefore, please make sure that you have access to this email address.
