This article will explain why your .EU Domain Name is in quarantine.
When domains are placed into quarantine, it means that they have expired, so any products or services attached to them will no longer work. Your domain name is in quarantine because it was not renewed before the expiry date.
Domains will be put into quarantine 1 day before the expiry date. After that, they will be held there for 40 days. During the quarantine period, websites or email address attached to the names will no longer work. Once the quarantine period has passed, the domain names are released onto the open market and can be registered by anyone on a first come, first served basis.
Please note: these are the rules of Eurid, the governing registry for the .eu domain name extension, not 123 Reg.
