Managing your Tasks

This article will show you how to manage your tasks in Webmail

Simply click on a title below to skip to the most appropriate FAQ. You can also click the Top button to return and make another selection.

How do I create a new task?

From your Webmail, select the Apps icon in the top-left corner (Generation 2 mailboxes only) or the Menu icon in the top-right corner (Generation 1 mailboxes only) and then choose Tasks from the provided options.

This will take you to the Tasks page. From here, select New task in the toolbar.

A pop-up window will now appear, where you’ll need to enter some basic information about your task.

You can also add additional information by clicking Expand Form, which will allow you to add due dates, reminders and completion status.

Once you’re finished, click Create to complete the process.

 

How do I edit an existing task?

From your Webmail, select the Apps icon in the top-left corner (Generation 2 mailboxes only) or the Menu icon in the top-right corner (Generation 1 mailboxes only) and then choose Tasks from the provided options.

This will take you to the Tasks page. From here, select the task you wish to amend and click Edit in the toolbar.

A pop-up window will now appear, where you can amend the details of your task. Once you’ve done this, click Save.

 

How do I delete a task?

From your Webmail, select the Apps icon in the top-left corner (Generation 2 mailboxes only) or the Menu icon in the top-right corner (Generation 1 mailboxes only) and then choose Tasks from the provided options.

This will take you to the Tasks page. From here, select the task you wish to amend and click Delete in the toolbar.

A pop-up window will now appear, asking you to confirm your decision. Simply click Delete to complete the process.

How do I mark a task as done?

Step 1 of 3

From your Webmail, select the Apps icon in the top-left corner (Generation 2 mailboxes only) or the Menu icon in the top-right corner (Generation 1 mailboxes only) and then choose Tasks from the provided options.

This will take you to the Tasks page. From here, select the task you wish to update and click Done in the toolbar.

A message will now appear, informing you that the task has been marked as done.

How do I print a task?

Step 1 of 3

From your Webmail, select the Apps icon in the top-left corner (Generation 2 mailboxes only) or the Menu icon in the top-right corner (Generation 1 mailboxes only) and then choose Tasks from the provided options.

This will take you to the Tasks page. From here, select the task you wish to print and then click the Menu icon in the toolbar (represented by the 3 bars).

Choose Print from the provided drop-down menu.

Your system will now open the print options. Use your preferred print set up and click Print to complete the process.

How do I change the view on the tasks page?

Step 1 of 3

From your Webmail, select the Apps icon in the top-left corner (Generation 2 mailboxes only) or the Menu icon in the top-right corner (Generation 1 mailboxes only) and then choose Tasks from the provided options.

You will now be taken to the Tasks page.

If you have a Generation 1 mailbox, you can change the default style of this page by selecting View on the right-hand side of the page and choosing between the Folder view and Checkboxes. The Folder view (highlighted in red) will display the folder panel, allowing you access to the folder system you have set up for your tasks. Checkboxes (highlighted in blue) will display checkboxes next to each of your tasks, allowing you to select multiple tasks and perform actions in bulk.

You can also set how your tasks are listed by selecting the ‘Sort options’ function, where you can sort it by status, urgency, priority and more.

If you have a Generation 2 mailbox, you can access these options by selecting the three dots icon opposite the Tasks heading. If you have a Generation 1 mailbox, you can access these options by selecting the up and down arrow opposite the Tasks heading.
