How do I install AWStats?

This article will explain how you can install AWStats to your Hosting package.

AWStats is a powerful log analyser that creates reports based upon the data contained within Server Logs and can be installed by following the instructions outlined below.

Web Hosting plans purchased after July 2020 / Premium Hosting plans purchased after August 2020 (cPanel)

Start by accessing your Web Hosting dashboard.

On your dashboard, select the cPanel Admin button that appears above Settings.

Select the AWStats application from the Metrics section.

 

Web Hosting plans purchased before July 2020 / Premium Hosting plans purchased before August 2020

Start by logging in to your legacy Control Panel. For details on how to do this, please read the following article: How do I access and manage my products?

From there, select Web Hosting or Premium Hosting within the ‘Manage active products’ section, depending on which product you wish to use.

Next, select Manage opposite the ‘(bought before XX/XX/XX)’ option.

This will show you an overview of your current hosting packages. Click Manage for the account you wish to use.

On the next page, select Manage for the domain you wish to update.

Scroll down to the Web Stats and Logs section and click the Webalizer Statistics button.

You will have to install AWStats to your Hosting package. You can specify the installation directory, but you must ensure that the directory you are installing to is empty. Enter your chosen directory into the text box at the end of the domain path.

To complete the install, click the Install Now button. It may take a few minutes to install to your hosting account.

To use the app, you will have to visit the page you installed the app to. For example, here, we have installed it to the directory: 123-demo.co.uk/public_html/awstats, so, to access AWStats we would go to www.123-reg.co.uk/awstats.
