This article will show you how to block an IP address from accessing your server
There are several reasons why you would want to block an IP address, with the most common one being for security purposes such as protecting your server from DDoS attacks or preventing unauthorised access from malicious users.
Alternatively, you may wish to block an IP address for personal reasons. For example, say you run a forum with an annoying member – blocking their account wouldn’t stop them from signing up with a different email address; blocking their IP address, however, would mean they couldn’t access your site at all from their machine.
