VAT & 123 Reg Invoices
This article will explain how VAT is charged on 123 Reg invoices.
In accordance with EU law, from 1st January 2015, VAT charges will vary based on where the customer utilises the service.
For EU customers with a valid EU VAT registration number, no VAT is charged on the invoice as the responsibility for VAT accounting rests with the EU VAT registered customer.
For EU customers with no valid VAT registration, VAT is charged based on the location where the customer utilises the service.
For non-EU customers who utilise the service outside the EU, no VAT is charged.
For UK customers who utilise the service in the UK, VAT is charged at the standard UK rate of 20%.
Please note: Some countries have states and territories that employ different VAT rates. We do not support this and calculate VAT at the standard rate.
How to add your VAT number to your 123 Reg Account:
Start by logging in to your 123 Reg Control Panel.
From there, click Account Settings in the toolbar and then choose Payment Methods from the list of options.
You will now see a list of your saved payment methods. Click the three-dot icon above your main payment method and choose Edit from the list of options.
A pop-up window will now appear, showing your payment method’s details. Enter your VAT number into the Tax ID field and click Save.
