Install the Memcached PHP libraries using WHM

This article will explain how you can install Memcached PHP libraries within WHM.

Memcached is an object caching system that can be used to improve your website’s performance. To install this application, simply follow the instructions below.

Please note: the following article was originally created for our current generation of Virtual Private Servers. As such, these instructions may not be relevant to our previous generation of Virtual Private Servers.

Step 1 of 7

Start by logging in to WHM.

Select Software within the left-hand menu, followed by EasyApache 4.

Step 3 of 7

On the next page, click Customise within the Currently Installed Packages section.

Step 4 of 7

Select PHP Libraries and then enter Memcached into the provided search box.

Step 5 of 7

You can now install Memcached by clicking the provided toggle on your preferred PHP version.

Next, click Review within the left-hand menu.

Step 7 of 7

Select Provision to complete the process.
