Generate a CSR: Plesk
To generate a Certificate Signing Request (CSR), please do the following:
Start by accessing your Web Hosting dashboard.
From there, click Plesk Admin.
This will take you to the Plesk Admin page. Simply click SSL/TLS Certificates to continue.
Next, click Add SSL/TLS Certificate.
This will open the SSL Certificate setup page, in which you’ll need to complete the following fields:
- Certificate Name – enter a suitable name for your SSL certificate
- Bit Size – choose a value of 2048 or higher
- Country
- State or Province
- City
- Organisation Name
- Domain Name
- Email
Please note: if you’re using a Wildcard SSL certificate, you’ll need to enter an asterisk as the subdomain (i.e. *.yourdomain.co.uk)
Once you’ve entered these details, click Request.
Your SSL certificate will now be created. From here, click the certificate name within the table.
Scroll down the page until you find the CSR and Private key boxes. Highlight and copy all the text within these boxes, including:
—–BEGIN XXX—–
and
—–END XXX—–
Paste your generated CSR and Private Key into Notepad and save your file.
