How do I customise the text on my Website Builder website?

This article will show you how to add a text box to your Website Builder.

Text boxes are one of the most important parts of any website, as they often form the main bulk of content. Each of your text blocks can also be easily customised to match your brand’s style, by adjusting the size, font style, colour and more.

Since this process differs depending on which version of our Website Builder you have, please select your version from the list below and follow the instructions provided to get started:

Changing a specific piece of text

Start by logging in to your Website Builder package.

Step 2 of 4

From there, find and select the piece of text that you want to customise.

You will now be given several options within the right-hand menu. From here, you can change the wording itself and format your text by adding bold, italics, underlines and bullet points.

You can also play around with the colour scheme of your section through the Accent option.

Once you’re happy with your changes, click Done to return to the main site navigation menu.

Changing your website’s default text

Start by logging in to your Website Builder package.

From there, select Theme in the right-hand menu.

Next, click Fonts.

You will now be shown the primary and secondary fonts used throughout your site. Below these two fields, you’ll see a list of popular font pairings.

You can either choose the font pair you like the most from the provided list or set specific fonts within the drop-down menu for Primary Font and Secondary Font.

Changing a specific piece of text

Start by logging in to your Website Builder package.

From there, select the piece of text that you want to customise.

You can now change the wording within your text widget and edit its design by selecting the relevant option from the toolbar that appears above your widget, including the font size, type, style colour, alignment and more.

Once you’ve made your changes, click the green tick icon to save them.

 

Changing your website’s default text

Start by logging in to your Website Builder package.

Step 2 of 4

From there, select Theme in the left-hand menu.

Click Text.

Step 4 of 4

You will now be given a list of text options, including default text, paragraph and heading 1-6. Clicking each option will allow you to change its standard appearance on your website, as you will be bale to set its font type, size, colour, format and direction.

By clicking ‘More options’, you can also set the standard font weight and line height.
